Together with her colleagues (a biokineticist and a podiatrist), Megan is focused on helping clients make healthy lifestyle and exercise choices. She has been teaching pilates for a year now and has a definite passion not only for teaching, but also for practicing pilates. She strives to keep her clients happy at all times and to make every class enjoyable, so that clients keep coming back. Apart from being very relaxing and an ideal way in which to de-stress, pilates has a number of notable health benefits. The main focus of the exercises is developing core control, strength and stability, which improves body awareness, increases ones strength and flexibility, and relieves chronic back pain. In addition to all of this, pilates is a great workout which can be vary in intensity depending on one’s fitness levels. Megan herself testifies to this. ‘I’ve always been an active person involved in sport, and down to this day I still play hockey’ comments Megan. ‘I have found that since starting pilates, my sports performance has radically improved.’ Megan offers both private as well as group pilates training sessions.
