re:form - ImageThe pilates method uses specifically designed equipment and floor exercises to promote uniform development of the body. This allows weaker muscles to develop as well, instead of the body continuously relying on the stronger muscles to do the work.

Pilates creates long, lean muscles, it helps to redefine your posture, creating a comfortable, relaxed and confident stance. It will also help you to understand why exercise is important, not only for the aesthetic purposes of altering your body shape, but also in order to avoid injury.

At re:form studios we recognize that although pilates is extremely powerful, it is not magic; it needs to be practiced consistently two to three times a week in order to feel its full potential. Results only come with good instruction and regular practice.

Understanding though that private tuition so many times a week is not always practical or affordable, we’re developing a programme that will enable you to practice in a controlled supervised group environment, following a programme you have been taught to do on your own. ‘Supervised Self Practice’. You will have an instructor/s at your disposal to guide you and teach you new movements to add to your growing repertoire. We feel that this will teach you to have more control of your own workout and more awareness of your body and its needs. What we are striving for is for you to learn the pilates method and understand where to correct yourself. We would like this method to available to all those who want to learn from it.
