Yoga and relaxation classes in Claremont - Image The aim of yoga is to unite the mind and body and bring it into harmony by means of a variety of standing, sitting and supine postures called asanas. These postures help a person develop strength and flexibility, body control, balance and coordination. They are accompanied by pranayama, breathing exercises, which teach breath control and mental awareness. This combination of physical movement and mental relaxation makes the practice of yoga: ‘meditation in movement’.

Marjolein Gamble is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She teaches small Hatha yoga and relaxation classes from her studio located in Harfield Village, Lower Claremont. Classes are scheduled throughout the week and on Saturdays in both the mornings and evenings and private tuition is available on request.
